Gymnastics

The popular Gymnastics Club takes place on Wednesday at lunch time. The club comprises of newcomers and girls who take part in gymnastics outside of school. They start with warm up exercises. Following this, the girls are split into groups and are each given a handout with different routines on it. They have a choice of  which routines they want to try.  Ms.Loftus and an assisting student advise each  group on the moves to provide support and an extra hand if needed. Everyone works well together and encourages each other with any difficult routines.
Each week the girls are mixed up in different groups so it is a great way of getting to know new faces. The newcomers learn from the girls already in gymnastics and work well helping each other. It’s a great way to learn leadership skills, good communication skills, trust, team building and friendships. Most importantly each girl leaves with a smile on her face.
